Business Development/Practice Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related discipline as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm
Must be a team player
Must have new client acquisition experience
Must have management experience
Must be sensitive to clients’ needs and able to build positive relationships
Able to prioritize, organize, problem solve, meet deadlines and goals and stay focused through distractions
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
Must possess strong work ethic, honesty and integrity
Must be friendly and courteous
Must have effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities
Must have proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks Online, keyboarding and 10 key
Must be self-driven, demonstrate initiative and able to adapt to changing priorities
Must be able to manage multiple tasks positively and proactively under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
SKILLS:
Experience in selling accounting services encouraging potential clients to engage in the most comprehensive program that meets their needs
An entrepreneurial spirit. Recognize that entrepreneurs are self-motivated and don’t need to be told what to do. They have a rainmaker attitude. They are open to guidance, but if none is available, they figure out the best way to handle a situation and go do it with the best of intentions. This is the entrepreneurial spirit! On top of this intangible “spirit”, some very concrete skills are required:
Good people skills! Working with clients. Forming relationships. Understanding their issues and responding with solutions.
Financial statement preparation. The candidate must be able to easily read and understand financial statements. They must be able to know how to produce accurate information that can be used to help the client make business decisions and prepare their tax returns. We use QuickBooks software and proficiency is required.
Tax return preparation for Corporate and Individual (federal and state) returns and review of returns prepared by staff members. We use ProSeries Software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all operations in separate Executive Suite location under the FIA Brand
Client care is of the utmost importance at Fix-it Accounting. Each team member is expected to represent the brand and the expertise behind it. Each contact with a client should be positive, reassuring and make them feel part of a community that is looking out for their best interests. The biggest thing we sell is “peace of mind”
Networking Community outreach through Chamber groups, business groups and organizations. You must have the confidence and willingness to get out there.
Be an enthusiastic mentee. This position will be mentored into their role as leader of a Fix-It Accounting facility
Report to the C.E.O.
Supervise your team
Manage workflow
Selling and onboarding new clients
Follow up with potential clients
Work with the Fix-It Accounting team supporting each other
Perform special work assignments as determined by the C.E.O.
Continue to grow professionally so that you can take on additional responsibilities.
